Only one of three available Tottenham loanees made it onto the field for their respective side tonight, but it was a good night for Luke McGee‘s Peterborough United.
The young stopper grabbed himself his first clean sheet in the Posh blue as they defeated rivals Northampton Town 3-0 in League 1, including a goal from former Spurs teammate Shaquile Coulthirst.
McGee moved to the ABAX Stadium this summer in search of first team football, and his 8th appearance finally brought a shut-out as Peterborough moved to within one point of the playoff places.
And he was clearly delighted with the result:
Fellow Spurs loanee Nathan Oduwa was an unused sub as his side took the game comfortably. It’s Wimbledon on Saturday next for the duo.
He wasn’t the only youngster to go unused by their club tonight. Will Miller, who played an hour in Burton Albion’s 0-0 draw with Wigan at the weekend, sat out too as Ipwsich Town ran out 2-0 winners.
Miller has 6 appearances (3 starts, 3 sub) at Burton, who welcome Birmingham City on Friday.
Federico Fazio‘s Roma play Austria Vienna in the Europa League on Thursday, before returning home to play Palermo on Sunday night in Serie A.
Felip Lesniak‘s Slovan Liberec are in action in the same competition as they face Fiorentina, while Nabil Bentaleb‘s Schalke go to Russia to play Krasnodar before welcoming Mainz on Sunday.
Clinton N’Jie will have to wait until Sunday evening to play Ligue champions PSG with Marseille.
