Luke McGee kept a classy clean sheet as his Peterborough United side won a fifth straight game on Saturday.
The Spurs loanee faced 12 shots as Northampton Town visited London Road, but he held firm throughout the game.
Teammate Chris Forrester was the main man in the 92nd minute as he headed home to hand McGee’s side all 3 points.
Fellow Tottenham youngster Nathan Oduwa was nowhere to be seen once again, as he struggles to make his way into the 5th placed League One side.
That’s a familiar story for Filip Lesniak, who hasn’t seen action for Slovan Liberec in the Czech league since mid-October. He sat out once more as they lost 3-0 to Jablonec.
It was a bad week for Federico Fazio too, as his AS Roma side saw their 9 game unbeaten run come to an end at the hands of Atlanta.
They slipped to a 2-1 loss away from home after Leandro Parades had tripped Papu Gomez in the area. Fazio completed the 90 once again as he seems to have held down a place in the starting eleven.
Will Miller saw defeat too, coming on with 23 minutes left as his side went crashed to a 3-0 defeat away at Reading.
Miller replaced Chris O’Grady with the score at 2-0, before teammate John Brayford turned into his own net to complete the scoring. They now haven’t won in 3 games.
Just like Burton, Clinton N’Jie is in very poor form. His last match was more than two weeks ago, when he was pulled 15 minutes from time as his Marseille side were beaten by Montpellier.
This week, he sat out as his side won 1-0 at home to Caen.
But undoubtedly Spurs’ most impressive loanee so far, Nabil Bentaleb, continued his hot streak as Wolfsburg were brushed aside on Saturday.
He played another 86 minutes before being replaced by former Spur Benjamin Stambouli as Leon Goretzka’s effort handed Schalke 3 points on the road. They now sit 13th following their impressive run, which comes after a horrendous start to the season.
